Overview
Sentinel is the only monthly oral medication that prevents, controls, and treats heartworms, adult roundworms, adult hookworms, whipworms, as well as the development of flea eggs.
Note:
Sentinel does not kill adult fleas.
For dogs at 4 weeks of age or older, weighing at least 26 pounds.
Sentinel comes in palatable flavored tabs, and is easy to administer once a month.
Sentinel may be given along with Capstar, which treats flea infestation.
Sentinel Flavor Tabs contain milbemycin oxime, which interferes with the worms nervous system, eliminating the immature stage of the heartworm larvae and the adult stage of hookworms, roundworms and whipworms.
Sentinel also contains lufenuron, an insect development inhibitor, which breaks the flea life cycle by inhibiting flea egg development.
Directions:
-Give Sentinel Flavor Tabs once a month on the SAME day of each month year round.
-Sentinel is for use on dogs only. Do not give to cats.
-Do not remove Sentinel from its wrapper until you are ready to give to your dog.
